I received my rear tire a couple of days ago and sent my paperwork off. I think I'm 'in process' since I filled the claim form out on the website - it shows me as claim 653. I was looking at the rear in my garage this evening and noticed two small red dots on the sidewall. Does Pirelli mark the light or heavy spot on their tires? That would be nice!

R4R&R,
I went throught the Pirelli web site looking for balancing info. They say there that dot goes next to the valve stem. It's the lightest place on the tire.

My front tire arrived yesterday afternoon from Pirelli. Rear got here from Motorcycle Superstore.com a week ago. Total cost for front and rear tires - about $145. They look great. Looking forward to getting them mounted up and some warmer riding weather.
Thanks to all who helped.

Only 44 Left. Thanks Guys !! $140 OTD seems like a pretty sweet deal. I just started shopping around online, and stopped by this site to check fittment of a slightly larger size. After reading, I opted to get the stock rear size.
I've been browsing this site for the last week. I purchased my 2002 R1150R last Sunday and will be taking delivery tomorrow.

So......my wife calls me yesterday while I am at work. She tells me a tire was just delivered. I assume its the rear tire from Motorcycle Superstore which was being delivered FedEx. I look at the tire this morning and low and behold its the front tire! Pirelli actually beat the online dealer with delivery. The rear is scheduled to arrive today. Great deal that is hard to beat for tires.

It took about three weeks for my front tire to come while the rear came within two days.
Looks good and so we shall see how it fares against the previous Z6.

I guess I am going to break down and put my new front on this week and the rear next week. It is not often I have the luxury of a new set of tires setting in the basement but the front is getting old so I'll go ahead in install it. I too will be interested to see how it stacks up to the Z6.

I got my freebie front tire Monday. Now I have a set of two tires ready and waiting for mounting. I'll probably need them in early fall, so no excuse for riding around on the threads!

My front Diablo came UPS this morning. Little wonder it got lost and wandered a bit coming from GA. It looked like Pirelli simply slapped a bar code label on it and rolled it out the door. The rear on the other hand, coming from the Motorcycle Superstore, was in a large heavy box stuffed with bubble wrap. But, all's well that ends well. I'm now ready to make the change when the Metzlers wear out.

Got my free front last week! Great deal...again thanks to the OP and everyone who help wade thru this one!
[small hijack...]What are you all going to use for inflation pressures???
I'm going w/ 36psi fr and 38psi rear, same as on the Pilot roads that came OE. Both have 'Max Pressure ' as 42psi on the sidewalls...[...end hijack]

I was told in Canada we can't get this special. It was only the US, I see this is wrong cause the guys from down under are getting the deal. Any info you can forward me regarding the specs in Canada. Like those guys down under don't have all the luck with riding weather and beach babes. Must be sweet.

Well, after my intial shake down/scrub in ride on the new Pirelli, I give it a tentative thumbs up! Will know more after a more spirited ride, hopefully, this Friday. But noticed no problems this weekend while breaking it in.
And the dead Z6 made it a little over 7,000 miles, which for me and my area roads, a long and productive life. The rear still has a few weekends on it yet!

My thinking is that it's a US only deal. It seems like Pirelli doesn't have a strong following in the US as other coutries. None of the dealers around me even stock Pirelli's.
The thing that got me was where they are made - Germany! I thought they were Italian?
