I was looking on ebay the other night and there was a black one in perfect condition with less than 400 miles and a buy it now price of $13k I believe. It had ASC and ABS and sounded like pretty much every option. I'm not sure if it had luggage or not. The wife who doesn't ride was selling it due to an unfortunate event.

What is it with white R12Rs and crashes? The rider in this video suffered a broken leg, two broken arms and a shattered elbow after a head-on collision with a minivan. (See the comments.)

Sorry about your mishap....glad you are ok. I hope this is not an inappropriate time to ask about your bike. My apologies in advance if it's a bad time to ask....but.......I am considering buying a r1200r with the low seat low frame and have never seen one at a dealer yet. I noticed from the photos at the beginning of your post that the bike seems to have a low stance. Is your bike or was your bike the low frame low seat version.

Dodi,

No worries about asking. My bike was a standard height since I'm 6'1". The seat was the Low Comfort, but that's the same height (800mm IIRC) as the stock seat. I'm still about four weeks out from another bike purchase, but I'd recommend the R12R in a heartbeat.

Also to all: posted the hugger for sale in Buy Sell Trade.

What about all of those white body pieces? Will those belong to the insurance company?

The insurance company is the proud owner of everything else...even the GPS. Oh well. They compensated me very fairly and like I said, I'm looking at a new bike in about four weeks when I finish my master's degree.

If I had a bike now, I'd be thinking, "should I work on my thesis or go for a ride...hmmm?" :?

Guarantee I'd be out on the road instead of slaving over a hot computer providing support and warrants to my arguments on whatever it is that I'm writing about. Yeah, it's so boring that I can't even write about it.

<sigh> four more weeks...
