no barbacks are best

I agree with DJ on this one. I put barbacks on after having my bike for a few weeks because I thought I was leaning too far forward. I then rode for another few months with the barbacks in place. OK, that was fun but I remembered the stock position felt better even though my arms were tired. I removed the barbacks to compare the two positions. I rode the next 20K miles without the barbacks. MUCH BETTER. If you put on barbacks try to go back and test the ride without them. I think the bike handles better without them.

Cruiser- I'm with towerworker on the MotoTechniques barbacks. I'm 5'10" + a little and my hands were constantly losing circulation from the pressure on the heel. After installing the barbacks, that tingling, numb feeling only occurs when I'm tensing up too much in the twisties. Then I put the taller saddle on and I was again moved up some, but they still help.
