Mounting Ipod?

ER6i's are too big??? I wonder if we are talking about the same earphones? The ER6i fits deep in the ear canal - so deep that I can insert them and place my palm flat over my ears and not feel the earphones. They are the smallest earphones I have been able to find and they block out noise so well I use them instead of my custom made earplugs even when I don't want to listen to music.

Yes...they are expensive but can be found on sale for less than $80.

My initial thought was to remind you that because they never stop growing, the ears and nose only get larger as people age (especially true of men). Hence, that could be the reason they fit you better.

But then I decided to not go there and instead check to see if you were right about me speaking too quickly about the ER6i's. And of course, you were right. I saw the letter E and immediately thought of the SHURE E3 and E4 which I gave a test run. They stuck out too far. Looking at the ER6i online, I can see that they are smaller than the SHURE earphones.

You were right. I was wrong. (I don't get to say that too often, so it feels good to be able to once in a while

) I still like the Skull Candy ones I got. Perhaps once they pass away like all the other earphones I've had, I'll give the ER6i's a try. Maybe you will have outgrown yours by then and I could buy yours cheap????

I've got a 30gb video Ipod, where the only connector is on the bottom. I'll have to look into it some more, I'll email one of the sites that sell them maybe. There are others out there that might take a charger, but that one just looks the easiest to use with gloves on.

Otherwise I'll just have to alternate between charging and having full control

I have a ram mount ball that replaces the handlebar top holddown brackett. It works well and gets the ipod fairly well centered over the tank. I have thought about using the remote like Itrip only problem is you can't select the song or artist from the remote.
The Problem i have with the ipod on the handle bars it will lockup. I have a 60 gig video. I have to have it mounted on the tank bag or in my pocket for short rides. This has stopped the lock up problem. With my 3rd generation Ipod it was not bad. I could keep it mounted on the Handle bar mount as long as I had it plugged into a power source.
I have found the ER 6 earbuds make it all worth the effort. With any less clarity in the listing level I would not use my Ipod, and revert to those one sided conversations.

For tank bag mounting Otter box makes a waterproof protective case that does allow the click wheel manipulation with deer skin gloves.
