taosports link is the same thing but I went directly to Ram Mount's site. Just do a search for Ram Mount and you can find it under Motorcycle - camera mounts. I think it ran $35.

DJ,
Who was the fool who came up with that road name?

Nice pics guys. 32 would have been a little cool in my summer weight sleeping bag.

I finally was forced to fix my leaking final drive, and have not been able to ride much.

Here's another alternative for mounting cameras that I'm going to try once I get all the pieces put together. Gets the camera off to the side so you aren't shooting through the wind screen (mine is smoke colored). The base mounts on your reservoir cover and you can get it for right or left side.

It should look like this when it is all put together (except the camera base should have the little 1/4-20 stub)

or this for your video camera

Where did you find that one?

The base that mounts on to your reservoir cover comes from Hoon Hardware. http://www.hoonhardware.com/RAM_Mounter/ram_mounter.htm I have their bracket for my XM Roady that works quite well. I got the base for the right reservoir cover (pictured at the very top of my post) but haven't gotten the little RAM ball that fits into the female thread, just yet. I have the RAM extension and the camera mount. One note however: Hoon's RAM mount that extends out to the side hits the rear view mirror stem on my '04 stock mirror, so the extension has to be mounted inward. I may return it for the center mount.

The middle photo is a setup from Sierra BMW http://www.sierrabmw.bigstep.com/catego ... Ds=1122540 and the last one is from Cycle Gadgets, where I got some of my hardware for this setup. http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/?cat=MOUNT

I'm particularly intrigued by Cycle Gadgets video offering:
http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/pr ... tem=MC-DSR Pretty inexpensive set up for getting video of some rides. I've been playing around with slide shows like Taosports has done and would like to include some video clips. My DSLR does not do video so this might be the way to go. Of course, all this is so I can look at pictures and movies when the day comes when the wheels on my vehicle are attached to a chair and my grandkids can wheel me in front of a computer screen. Hopin' that day is way, way off and I have time to take many, many pictures. [-o<

PS sorry about the thread hijack :?
