That would have been from me....I have seen the rear driveshaft spline damage caused by someone doing wheelies

I'm not sure if your just kidding..I guess you are...but it's not photoshop...

You can buy these neat little jiggers that mount on the system cases to hold a fullface helmet..that's what's going on there.

Yeah, DJ just kiddn’ I haven’t even tried a wheelie on my R, I figure only bad things can come of it. That system case has been modified as a seat for mini-me…

I agree it looks like a real photo - I’ve also seen the helmet locks for the system case out there somewhere….

I know you guys are not into to Harley based bikes much, however I am so how is this for a "power" wheelie??

I agree Dj....power wheelie would from 3rd up imo....however the bike can only wheelie because of how powerful that motor is........

I don't know about the rest of you, my R1150 r wheelies just fine in first gear. If you shift with the front wheel up, the bike jerks hard to the right, I don't recommend it. Set your preload hard, when it is soft, the bike squats too much. I have been stopped by the law performing such an act; the legal term is impeding the performance of a vehicle. (Opted to use one wheel when two are available explains the officer) A movie titled “The 9th Gate” had a very brief scene with an R. The rider carried the front wheel through an intersection while 2 up. My bike is shaft drive, and the bike in the film is shaft drive, I’ll be dammed, they both do wheelies!!

I was the wheelie king back in my youth..I was always on the back wheel.......but that was big trail bikes.

My KTM 550 (two stroke) motorcross bike would lift the front wheel in every gear and you could hold it there forever..the RR is a whole different ball game.

It can wheelie and even be ridden for a fair distance at balance point on the rear wheel...if you're good enough.

Here's what I think a power wheelie means....the horse power lifts the front wheel...and where is the peak horse power...usually late in the rev range.

A torque wheelie is very diferent...it's usually done at lower revs or where the peak torque is..around mid range.

Our bike will lift the front wheel using torque..around 3-4,000 rpm...that Harley in that vid is using torque to do it's wheelie.

I have heaps of pics of our bikes doing wheelies...here's one that I like..(it's not me)

I've never been able to wheelie properly,just pop ups is all. Never ridden one out except over rises and dips when this thing just seems to float on the power.
