When I rolled my bike out for a charity run this weekend (see other thread) I realized I had not washed it since I rode in the rain last weekend. Oh well, admidst all the shiny cruisers, mine looked like it had been ridden! If they had given out a prize for dirtiest bike, I would have won!

I keep it sort of clean usually, but I am not excessive about it. I have found my wife's degreaser product from the grocery store does a good job on the engine and tranny. Along with a small stiff brush that can reach down into the fins for those subborn bugs and grime.
