At several of the Rolex races this year, I've noticed a Blue and White K1200S with tags from MD, bags and a bedroll lashed on top. Obviously sport touring means different things to different people.

My wife and I also bought a Suburu Forester. I work for a Porsche team. When I fly (alas, in the right seat), it's usually in a Cessna 180. I mostly learned to drive (unsafely at any speed) in a 1960 corvair. I'm a boxer kind of guy. And sometime next year, I will buy either an R1200S, an R1200R, or perhaps a gently used (clearly NOT by the flying Hoon) R1200ST.

But the others are all nice.

Vann - no, not this year or the next! I just bought a house in the D.C. suburbs and I did a budget for the furniture. My finances are going to be devoted to populating the house with furniture, adding on a deck, etc. I'm targeting the GS for 2008, if I can hold out that long...

Yep! Some many projects, yet so many bikes... And so little time! :lol:

I've been meaning to ask you...

I know you love your Dyna Glide Sport, but do you wish you had waited and gotten the newest Dyna's, like the new Super Glide, with the new *BIG* forks. etc.?

You have to add an Italian bike next, or maybe British. You have the Japanese, German, and American bikes covered.

John - like I need any more temptation! I seriously thought about how neat it would be to get a Triumph or a Duc. My mileage on the interstate however has me thinking about BMWs when it comes to crossing state lines. I know both of the aforementioned companies make good touring bikes, but we agree that BMW makes the best tourers, right?
