Just did my rear brakes with EBC FA363 Organic. Like DuckDave, I really like the new feel but it's still early - about 60 miles into it. Let's see how the wear goes but I did follow IBMWR's recommendation to anti-seize lube the pin.

Also, many thanks to CycleRob for advice on cleaning the pistons. I'm hoping that I won't have to replace these rear pads for a while.

Buoyed by success, I'm going to do the fronts with sintered EBC pads this weekend.

So I was going to do my front brakes but observed that the existing pads appear okay! I'm at almost 30K miles but after removing one set of pads, I noticed that they are a tad thicker than the FA294HH pads that I was going to install. The other caliber had the same measurements.

So I left the originals and made a note to remind myself that if I do replace the originals, I won't have to worry about brake fluid spilling.

One question though - I'm using alcohol to clean the brake pistons but my Clymer manual talks about lubing the pistons with a "Disk Brake Lubricant". What the heck is that? I'm presuming it's not petroleum based.

CycleRob will probably say to use brake fluid as lubricant which I just might do. I just don't have any of it lying around...
