Update:
They also replaced my ring antenna, again.... I had already had the "correct" antenna (-247 I think) installed a long time ago, so I'm not sure what that was about, and they didn't have an answer for that either. Well, I'm not complaining, a fresh new antenna never hurt anyone (-247 again, I think).

FYI - Had my 2007 R12R in the dealer earlier this week for the newest brake line recall and the service manager took a phone call and mentioned in chatting that the bike was being towed in for an EWS ring antenna failure. He also mentioned that they were experiencing an increase of ring antenna failures of recent. On questioning he was unable to clearly answer if they were newer ring failures or older ring failures. Would be interested in knowing if anyone has heard any info on this??
