Ride like crazy! Lean forward more and get off your a**. Just funnin with you. This is a different bike. The more you get into the ride by leaning forward more and aggressively leaning into the curves, your shoulder ache and pains will disappear. You can also get risers to bring the handlebars up and in to you some more which is what I did (5'11", 180lbs) and never had another problem, but this is about being involved with your bike more than you ever have before and that means not cruising but riding.
