"My '02 R1150R barely has any miles on it and my commute to work is only 1 mile (lol). I love my bike and I'm already shopping around for my next bike. I'm definitely leaning towards a k1200. I have no complaints with my R1150R. I will continue to buy BMW bikes."

You love your bike and yet you are shopping around for the next one. I can't think of any bike I'd rather ride than my 1150, and yet I've been scanning craigslist for something else for my commute. What is wrong with us? LOL

I think we love our BMW motorcycles so much that we have to get ready for our next one because we do realize that this one is not gonna last forever.

Over on the R1200R is a discussion over buying a 12 with 150k on the clock.

The discussion is not for the sensitive, however, as it includes the omnipresent put down of the 1150.

Yep, people buy what they want, not what they need. And end up paying way too much. I paid $3000 for my K75RT. Now has 67K on it. Engine will go to at least 200K without a problem. Good handling, great brakes, ---the only thing against it is it is 24 years old. Looks like it is 5 years old. After using it a lot, I will sell it for what I paid for it. :D

The world's worst investments are cars, bikes, etc that are depreciating and suck interest in the payments at the same time. We must be nuts.
