+1 on the Sprint to R1200R. I sold my Sprint with 20K+ miles with 0 problems. I have enjoyed many bikes in over 40 years of riding and this BMW is just a gem. My Triumph dealership has an employee that wanted my bike and I received a very good deal on a 3 way bike deal involving the BM original owner buying a new Scrambler. The value is very good on the modern Triumphs and the 3 motor is a hoot, but they are in a different tier and designed for a different bottom line. Ride the R, you will love it....or not. I ride mine naked with Cortech bags for now and enjoy her for what she is, even an RT will leave you soaked while waiting at a traffic light in the rain.
Cheers, it's test ride time!

Tone your zeal with moderation Rocket. You have the fastest colour.

Must admit, looks better than I expected. Black Hugger should look OK with it.
(The silver contrasts nicley with my other toy too - 170bhp Golf GT TDI , another quality machine with ubiquitous looks,... except the bling wheels

)

Rocket-
You and I must be brothers from another mother. I'm the Sprint ST guy and I also have an 05' GTI. Love my GTI too!
Bill-
You too. I put 50K on each of my K bikes and looks like I am heading for that with my Sprint.
I definitely will be hitting you guys up for more information if and when I am ready to make the switch. Could be sooner rather than later (although I just installed a tail tidy on my Sprint this weekend).
