I am enjoying my R1200R after trading in my '03 1200cc Harley Sportster (solid mount) for it. To me, the R felt both taller and lighter. I've gotten used to the taller, and the "lighter" is a sheer delight!bmwk100 wrote:Mogu,

Less "sail" area. If you look at the bike in profile - it's a very open bike. Not a lot of sail area to catch the wind. The last time I bought something expensive I didn't tell her for a couple of weeks. When I eventually came clean, she was more pissed (grumpy, for all you non-Aussies) at me not telling her than for the actual purchase. I'm still not sure if this was a good thing or not.
