On to more pleasant topics, my BMW dealer is 441 Cycle in Plantation. They are a great dealer and have taken good care of me for over 11 years since I moved to Florida. There are actually no bad BMW dealers in Florida, although there are not enough of them.
I notice a Triumph Sprint ST listed by one of the correspondents. I had one of them, a fantastic bike.
My saddle is off to Bill Mayer today so I will be riding my Vespa for the next week or so.
Thanks again to everyone for their responses.

Bill,
I've been hanging out at 441 Cycle for 16 years so maybe I have run into you there before. After 14 years of BMW's I tried the Sprint and am very happy with it. But, I must say the R1200R is a beautiful bike. If I find that it fits my riding style, it may be in my future.

Thanks,
Bill
I got mine for $25 from a member on this forum. I believe he said he had paid $35. They are Moto-Techniques. They do the job and I am completely satisfied with the look.

Bill.. I think you misunderstand my comment. I happen to be a deputy, and it is just an observation about the brotherhood. No diatribe intended or implied. Many officers you ask are fully aware they are not appropriately dressed if involved in an accident.

2011 RT WARNING: TEST RIDING THE R1200R IS HAZARDOUS TO YOUR FINANCES
Loose the foam grips.. just use them stock for a while you'll get used to it. As for bar backs?? I don't get it I'm only 5'11" with a normal 33" arm and there is virtually no weight on my hands..I've ridden all day and had no hand/ arm issues.. Now the butt was another story , but I just received my Rick Mayer saddle and based on a short 2 hour ride I think my troubles in that area are now over. Last will be a set of Ohlins to replace the crappy stock boingers...
