2004 two-spark w/ABS - getting ready to turnover 55,000 miles. Original front brake pads (rear was changed once), normal maintenance. The bike had a bad hall effect sensor when it was new, a bum battery, and a brake light switch issue (needed adjustment) a little later in it's life.

Many a farkle added to make it more 'me': system cases, full sized left case, city lids, rear seat rest, sargent seats, i-Pod setup (with power), GPS, shocks, throttlemeister, heated gear, windscreen (comes off in the summer). I think the only thing that would make it complete would be communications so I can talk to my kids while riding. Very versatile bike.

2004 1150RA w/ ABS . Bought in May '07 with 6500 miles. Currently ~19K. 2nd set of tires have almost 10k on 'em. I love to "ride it like I stole it"......not really ,it's very well taken care of, but it is my intent to "grind it to dust" I'd buy another in a NY minute.

2004 Rockster "Tiger Stripe".

About 7900 miles.

On the flip side - it gets used at least 250 days per year - rain, shine or show (OK - not much of that in London).

Bought second-hand January 2006 (read - 0 miles pre-registered by the dealer, spent 1 1/2 years in a shop window).

'02 - purchased used with 3K miles on the clock, now with a mere 35,000 miles! However, with this spring being the first riding season with the empty nest, I expect that mileage to accumulate much quicker! :D

New Ohlin on the rear at 25K and a burned out bulb in the speedometer is about all I have done other than maintenance. Due to the linked brakes, the rear brake pads go quicker than I would like though!

Boxer, if you got 70,000 out of the original shocks, you would think you have a new bike if you put new shocks on that thing!

9,500 miles. I've put around 1500 on it in a year. I'm 40 so I guess at that rate, the bike will probably outlive me by a good margin

Mine, a 2002, had 16,000+ at the time of sale this past May. However it is important to note that I also had a Suzuki Bandit which I rode a similar number of miles.

So if I had only the BMW it would have had ~ 32K miles..... 8)

'03 1150 - only 17,000 miles so far. Bought in '05 with just 2,600 on the clock! Used for almost daily commute in the UK for two years until semi-retirement to SW France in August '07. Now a fair-weather bike and only doing about 100 miles a weekend - and only if it's sunny! (Don't knock it - I served my bad-weather time!)

Blown clutch slave at 16,000, rear pads at around same mileage, owner-induced overheat (new oil-level window needed) at 17,000 - still running like a dream but could benefit from a throttle-body sync.
