Here is what I have uncovered lately.

1. Oilheads - all years/all models (both 1100/1150 models) 5% failure rate

1. What is the source of this information?

2. Is there any specific data on our Roadster versions?

3. Are some year models more prone tnan others for problems?

How big a job, is this repair? Is it possible for a "do it yourselfer", with average mechanical ability?

See my post above. It isn't hard to do, but getting the preload right with proper shims is difficult. There are posts on other forums of rapid failure because of improper re-shimming.
