We had a brief hot spell in San Francisco and I changed my Scout 20" screen to the 10" shortie. Quick job with 4 machine screws.
I expected it to pretty much behave as the BMW Sport screen, that is, next to nothing except to protect the instrument cluster from bugs.
I was pleasantly surprised. With the Sport screen, at highway speeds, I really felt a lot of pressure on my chest and had to lean into the wind a lot. But with the short Scout, the air is deflected up to my chin level, so no leaning at all was necessary. And yet, even at 98 deg temps, I was as cool as I could expect in my kevlar mesh jacket.
At speeds above 70 mph, I missed the taller screen, but only if I were at that speed for long stretches. There was no buffeting: my helmet was in clean air.
I really liked it: the looks, the view, and the wind handling.
