No dining - I don't eat meals when I travel.

Lodging - I found a couple of spots for a BMW gathering.

Party spot?....... what happened in Arkansas stays in Arkansas - you know the rules. Or maybe the right answer is: "wherever I am, it's a party (in my head, anyway)"

Watering hole recommendations - lots of dry counties, but I met a few folks who brew their own, but didn't taste it so can't suggest anything there. Lots of mushroom delicacies too, if that is your thing. Not mine. I'm afraid I'll come up short on the recommendations you might want, mad1150. Camping alone, traveling alone - ........... I needed to stay alert always, so I didn't frequent those places or drink with strangers(and believe me, some were stranger than others)

Report coming soon. I wish Boxer would show me how to do one of those neat slide shows with music.

You're now addicted. Be careful about post-ride depression.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to reading all about it.

Just kiddin' around Gypsy, knew you were trying the camping thing. Although for a fall gathering...

My sister lives in Jonesboro, which is dry. I totally forgot about the dry counties down there.

But you have a great point about being overly friendly with strangers, especially when traveling alone. Best to be overly cautious.

and yes you do definitely run across some "Strangers" there. Was fishing/camping with my brother-in-law one night and ran across some real odd ones. I think they were drugged up, but who knows? In-law carried a 357 Mag, now I know why!

Remember, as James Madison said, 'an armed society is a polite society'.

It's just a little program called Soundslides. Taosports told me about it, and I love it. Its well worth the $40.
