Old Clark Inn is full. If any of the first guys withdraw (check after January 1) then I'll repost.

Overflow B&B has 1 room available. $85 for 2 nights.

Addendum:

Here is page one repeated in part:

WHOLE HOUSE RATE
• Subject to availability
• $350 per night ~ up to 15 people, Non-Peak, No Breakfast
• $15 per person over 15
• Breakfast ~ +$5 per person
• Deposit required
• Balance due must be paid in one transaction upon check-in.

I probably confused the issue of whether or not breakfast was included in the rate I have collected from each person. It is not included.

If anyone who pre-paid feels that is a misleading situation, I will refund cash.

M

Jan 1st Note:

Every body with a pre-reservation has paid except one - send me that check!!!! I will repost after I have paid Nelson and finalized room assignments.

Ask her again. This time, right after asking the question, stare into her eyes and using the Jedi force, repeat mentally..."Yes my dear you can go anywhere you like."

March Update

Post by MikeCam »

Breakfast is an all or nothing for the group. IF we agree to have breakfast daily at the Old Clark Inn it will be $5 per person per meal paid on arrival. DBI customers included at OCI location. We need to commit to one or both days before arrival and then pay on arrival. Details to be worked out later.

I will soon post a list of websites and phone numbers of other local motels and cabins for additional folks, but that will not be a group rate nor managed from here....you are on your own, so to speak.

Those OLD Clark Inn and Dirt Bean Inn pre-paid folks: if you arrive Thursday, make direct arrangements with Nelson by phone (in advance), pay by credit card (in advance), and Nelson will strive to assign you the same room you'll have for the group times (cause he'll have the list in advance!).

More to follow.

I'm planning to go, but as usual I'm not going to be able to do the whole shindig given work. When I can show up is up in the air.

Yong, I may have to bail after Saturday lunch. If I can't stay Saturday night you could have my room.

I am also thinking about going down Thursday, and camping that night at Watoga.

Jeff - that would work I think. My goal is to be able to show up Friday night. If I do, I'll need to figure out what to do the first night I'm there.

Route Planning

Post by MikeCam »

Arrival and Departure Routes Worth a Ride:

From Ohio and West --

Parkersburg Turnpike plus. From Marietta/Parkersburg area find and follow WV 47 up the Little Kanawha (kuh - NAH) River to US 33 East to Weston, then US 19 South and WV 15 East to US 219 South to Marlinton.

From Pennsylvania and North -- Any of the following US routes South: 19, 119, 219, 220 AND any of the following US routes East or West: 33, 50, 250; then eventually US 219 South to Marlinton.
An alternative from Morgantown, WV -- WV 7, 72 to Parsons and then US219.

OR WV 26 from the border of PA/MD/WV to WV72 and so on.

From South Carolina, East Tennessee and Western North Carolina -- US 11, 19, 52, 221 north into SW Virginia, then US 219 from Narrows area.

OR WV 16 through the Coal fields to WV 39 into Marlinton.

From Mid-Atlantic -- you already know what to do.

Damn kids.......

Post by touchton »

Looks like I'll miss the Bash this year. They've announced the date for my daughter's graduation and it's May 18th. I know I should have thought about this before I had children.

So, there's a room for sale if anyone is interested. It's a single room with a private bath.

Thad - sorry you won't be making it. There are a lot of things we should have thought of before having kids! Having met her though, I would say she turned out pretty well. Most have been her mother's influence!

I will be missing part of the RA rally riding for my son's graduation. But it is not as bad for me, they are at least in the same town! :P
