Your bike looks so clean in B&W, Joe! But you couldn't help but show off that awesome suspension just a little, could you?

No, I couldn't!
Actually it is clean... I don't know what's gotten into me!
There's a detail shop across the street where I'm staying in Mexico - they spent 2 hours on it for 60 pesos... the bad thing was while I was gone they armour-alled EVERYTHING, seat, footpegs, tires, etc...
Part of the Mexican adventure...

Armor All'ed tires - adventure indeed!
Hope you explained to the why we DON'T do that...

Seems to me you'd be glad of a break from the 'fiery season'.
Don't feel bad, we don't see sun here from Nov.1 to May.1.

No habla espanol - makes it kind of hard!
How could I even be mad, after all it did look cleaner than it has in quite some time.

Joe, that's one of the coolest pics I've seen - and I've said that about several of your photos. I have to ask, was there any post processing on this or was this just straight off the camera? It's still fricken' rainy up here in NorCal - so envious of a Mexico ride, one of my favorite places.

Yes Doug, I'm shooting RAW files and using Apple's Aperture for PP. I've been playing with HDR bracketing lately, but not on this one.
A few tweaks here and there, the most obvious being Highlight's and Shadow's to even it out.
While I'm somewhat pleased with this photo, I can't help but question whether it looks too digital... The thing is, in my eye's yesterday it looked just like this, that blue, that green, and than brown.
Any CC welcomed.

HDR bracketing was exactly what I was thinking. I took some Yosemite pictures last summer playing around with this and the results were stunning, but as you say, almost too much so. You start wondering when a ship from Close Encounters is going to arrive.
Anyway, it really shows off the beauty of desert landscape...just stunning. Worth the hike you had to take. The more pics I see from your trip, the higher a trip to La Paz is on my "to do" list.

Chitown, your pictures are always stunning. You have a great eye for composition and subject matter. Keep em coming.

Thanks!
The other thing is I'm shooting all of these photo's with a 35mm f1.4L... not using a zoom is really helping slow me down and work on the composition.

Funny you should say that, I've been thinking of going 'all prime' myself - a 35mm f1.4 is high on my list...
I love your photos Joe, definitely NOT snapshots!
