2 dorks rally

Post by iowabeakster »

I took Amy along on my afternoon ride today. Today we went to a couple of small parks on the Wapsipinicon River. We brought the camera along, although we didn't stop for any pictures. I wish we had, cause there were a number of interesting things, but time was a factor. We did take a couple at the parks. Here they are.

We are parked in a nice shady spot next to the "Ice cave". What a load of crap, there was no ice anywhere.

We did venture inside the cave for a bit. Amy led the way. When she looked back at me, she could see all of the bugs. Then it was time to head out.

She thought that I should post a picture of myself.
I thought, "Nobody wants to see that."
She's the boss, here I am in front of the cave.

On to the next park and a picture of the Wapsi. Near this place, a couple wild turkeys crossed the road in front of us. I didn't have time to get a picture. Turkeys are cool.

We climbed up some trees to get a better view of......trees. :D

That's it from Iowa today.

No picture of the other "dork"?

Oh...I forgot - she's the boss.

Thanks for the photos!

Mark, the cave is at the Wapsipinicon State Park, just oustide of Anamosa. You were practically right there for the poker run.

DJ, No pics inside of that cave. I will get you some cave pictures soon, promise! Turkey are just bizarro creatures. The sounds, the ruffled feathers, mating rituals, the blue are red heads, awesome camoflage feathering, and the way they run in flocks, are just facinating.

Michael, The other dork was not thrilled at the last "unflattering" pic I posted. We'll get some better pics some other time.
