Curves in All The Right Places

Post by sillyjax »

So, I did it....The girl has my signature and is now the DREAM RIDE: nice jugs...narrow at the waist...and a SWEET SEAT... :D Real test comes over this Memorial Day weekend when we set out on our NorCal adventure!

Thanks to Don Weber at Mr. Ed's Moto....I now have the PERFECT seat makeover....

In case you are wondering. . . Color scheme is inspired by my alma mater and also just because I like it....

AirHawk may be a thing of the past . . .

Nice seat, but I'm stumped!

Color insert doesn't look like U of O, or OSU. So what school is it? :?

Looks like your shop did a REALLY nice job narrowing and contouring the front part of the saddle. Take it that you might be a bit vertically challenged for the height of a stock R seat.

Thought the stock seat on my '04 (Quick)Silver R wasn't too bad, but bought a Sargent seat anyway. Hope yours turns out to be as big an improvement as mine...

Great Ride! BJ

Where in NorCal? I will be in Chico on Friday, but who knows where the rest of the weekend.
Traffic signals timed for 35mph, are also timed for 70mph.

Love the insert....can't wait to see it... it will be easily recognized at our upcoming Chief Joseph Rally.
Makes me want to go back to Don and have him personalize my seat as well......you give me expensive ideas!!!!

It looks great!

Just Beeming -- I figured I almost spent 200 bucks on the AirHawk; the seat re-do was a FANTASTIC deal for permanent solution. I figured I am in it for the long haul with this bike....I really love it!

DragonMojo -- As far as NorCal goes -- We are heading down to Yreka (via Hwy 3, Hwy 96, and maybe Hwy 36??) on Saturday the 26th -- Sunday we are heading back up to Crater Lake...any chance you will be in this area? Send an IM if so...there are a total of three bikes (2 couples), so more riders would be great.

Naiad -- Oregon State (orange in the seat, black bike); silver was the added touch which works with the pillion cover and my riding suit (it IS about the phoshizzle, too, and how I exercise my girly-girl!!)

This trip will be a good test for the new seat!!

Unfortunately, I won't be that far north. However, Hwy 96 has the best view of Mount Shasta, in my opinion! It's Memorial Day weekend, so be careful watching out for idiots on the road.

Sillyjax,

That is really a nice seat job. Mr. Ed does it again. The man really knows his stuff.

Sillyjax,

Thanks, mystery solved. Really wracking my brain trying to think of a school with Orange and Silver colors...never occurred to me about the Orange and Black of OSU.

I hear Black R's are fast...but not sure if faster than my QuickSilver. :)

Ciao! BJ

PS. Hope your having the same nice weather that we are this week!!!
