By the way, when you figure out attaching pics, can you send some of South Africa? I would love to see more of your part of the world...

Will do so, being a whitewater kayaker and kayak paddle manufacturer has taken us to many a place that no-one can go or do go, my most memorable is on the Buffalo river between cliffs at an old river crossing having lunch at a old war site where a few hundred died during a battle with Zulu impies. The owner of the land does not allow access due to theft of war memorabilia, you can only get there by river, and the river for those who paddle is grade 4 to 6 which means only a few go down it. Where we get in on this same trip is Rorke’s Drift where I think the most Victoria crosses were awarded for a single battle. The British soldiers held off an attack of many thousand Zulu impies. South Africa is always worth a visit as long as you don’t do the commercial thing and do the small town tour.

Welcome Stanman. I lived in Rhodesia and SA all my life. Was in Natal and watched the Duzi many times. Never participated though.
I now live across the pond in England and ride a silver 1150R and a Yam TDM900i.
I rode from PE to Salisbury (Harare) with my wife on a Kwaka Z750 many years back and went through floods around Pretoria and Joburg. Great memories! Had to ride in military convoys in Rhodesia because of all the terrorist attacks on vehicles......

Happy riding - great bike
