Brian, you rock. How cool is that?

The ticking away of the seconds on the clock as I looked at it made me
feel anxiety though.

What do I do? I'm not prepared. I'm not ready. I don't have a route. I don't have the time off yet. I don't know where I'll be living in May. Will I have a job in May? I need to save more money before I get there. What if I don't like you guys? What if it rains the whole time? I don't know if I can ride well enough to keep up with everyone. Friday through Sunday is too short. Why can't it be Thursday through Monday? Who all is going? What do I bring? How many miles should I travel each day to get there? Maybe I should rent a bike instead. Should I plan to fish too?

AUGH!!!! Brian.......stop the ticking of the clock! I can't handle the
pressure!!!

To try and answer some questions:
1.)Plan on coming
2.)You will have a job. Don't sweat it.
3.)You will like us. Everybody likes us.
4.)If it rains, nobody cares. We still ride. We are bivouaced(sp) in a Bed and Beakfast. How hard could that be?
5.)We are easy. We ride for the slowest in the group, because we all love each other and want to stay close.
6.)You can make it Thursday through Monday if you like...but most of us will leave on Sunday. But you're right, it's too short. Makes it sweeter the next time.
7.)Vann, Yong, Mike, Mike, Phil, Kevin, Mark, Chris, Jeff, Jim, Bill, Ted Alice, Sue, Ben, Gomer, Sam, Sneezy, Dopey, Fred and Wilma.
8.)Bring your bike, rain gear, helmet, jacket, pants, boots, credit card, cash, and a six pack of beer if you really want to fit in.
9.)Ride like the wind and you can go the whole route there in one day. It is less than 1500 miles isn't it?
10.)Don't plan to fish...unless it turns out I'm wrong about number 3.

After PM's became too slow for 2-way info, we talked on the phone so I could help her thru bike issues and decisions. I think our group is going to be pleasantly surprised when GypsyRR finally rolls into the parking lot, with peanut butter on her breath and Diesel fumes in the breeze. :smt041 :smt061 :smt026

I just talked to the Old Clarke Inn and used my Visa card to add on me and my New Jersey roomate Jim for Thursday nite too. It was $55 (for 2 beds) with shared bath -or- $65 (for 2 beds) with private bath. We do not know which type we'll get, as it must be the same type room already chosen for us. My ETA is about 6pm Thursday May 17th -unless- it's forecast certain RAIN for Friday, then it'll be Friday 6pm.

Who is planning on a Thursday nite stay too? Will there be anyone there to help unload bike(s) on Thursday nite?

I hope you guys have a good one..meanwhile I have my own mini bash this weekend..about 12 of us away for the weekend to Mount Hotham..as we do each November.

It's been beautiful Summer type weather here and in a week or so it will be officially Summer down under..I have my new BMW savanna jacket to wear..zips in arms and all for the hot weather.

But last night I just got the news that it's dumping down at Hotham..dumping as in 'snowing'.. ...geees what's going on with this odd weather..the weather forecast for the weekend is fine and hot so I have my fingers crossed.

Anyway..I don't mean to take over you big bash plans but it was just a thought that it might be a good idea if you guys are sharing rooms to separate the snorers from non snorers.

I'm hoping that this weekend I get a non snorer..and have some earplugs just in case...I'll try and take pics but it's always hard when riding in a group..you can't just stop when you like..and often the best pic opportunities just pass by.

Sorry to hijack in like this with all your planing..and if I win the lotto I just might turn up.. :D ...make that 'will turn up'..

Thanks Mike...any loud snorers sharing with me.. ...just kidding.

I can just imagine the fist time I pull out of a driveway and turn left..straight into a head-on with oncoming traffic..

I think the whole of the US needs to go metric and drive learn to drive on the left side of the road..just to make it easy for me.. :D

DJ - I can say from experience camping with some of these guys, I don't think a seperate room will help with the snoring. Walls are not enough to dampen the noise! :P

Upside, it scares off the bears when in the woods!

What he said.

If I'm able to come, it's likely I'll want to camp. That way if someone's snoring is too much for earplugs to handle I can just move my tent. :)

Anyone else going to camp?
