R1100R Streetfighter- Conversion

Post by BreadMan »

Has anyone done this type of conversion? Or have any photos to post?
I'm interested in what the outcome would look like.

I'm planning on doing some mods to my newly acquired R1100R. This is my second R1100R, so I think I'll play with it. If you have any knowledge about doing any of these, please let me know.

1) Convert to flat handlerbars.

2) Remove windshield and add front cowl/ fairing

3) Remove stock cat and can, and try a dual pipe/ can conversion

4) Bar end mirrors

That looks like the rear was hacked off and he changed the headlight. I think I need the back seat. :D

That's how the rear brake works..you just slide back and sit on the rear wheel to slow down.... :D

The frame gives it away as an S. How about that petrol tank - where did that come from? Interesting looking machine though.

I've thought about modyfying my R1100R. Does anyone know of a company besides Hannigan that sells a full size sport fairing?

I think these are some of the coolest customs I've seen. I'd love to get the same look with my bike - I'm not into replaceing the front end though. Well maybe with an 1100S front end.

I'm not a fan of the square headlight, nor the fugly shock hanging off the RH side of the yellow one.

not a streetfigher, but i put handlebars on my 95 r1100r... i made a plate that uses the oem mounting bolts, added risers, and presto. also added a mini fairing from an f650... fits around the older r1100r gauges pretty well.

I came across these photos a while ago. They're showcases of R1100R bikes spiffed up with parts from a company called Doken, which I think is Japanese. I thought they were very well done.

Yes, it is Japanese (dokeeneurope) and have a factory in Spain. They make screens for the major Japanese and other motorcycle manufacturers.

G'day sculptor666...welcome...nice R1100R.

Just noticed that you have the little 650GS screen like I use on my R1150R... :smt023

Have you had it on long..how do you like it?....I love mine..it's so quiet..and feels like there's no screen...yet stops the wind that would hit your chest.
