Finger Lakes Rally

Post by PhillyScott »

I'm terrible with names and worse with board names, sorry!

I'm looking to get in contact with the guy I was talking to at the Finger Lakes Rally who modified the tail rack of his R1150R with a black cutting board.

Thanks!

Do a search for "cutting board" and you'll find posts from Taosports and Yellowjacket Charlie, each of whom has adapted common plastic sheet material for use as a top rack. Perhaps one of them is your mystery man?

Oh, restrict the search to the R1150R board.

Hello Scott

That would be me. How's it going?

Ryan,

I'm fine, how are you doing?

I have a few questions concerning your modified rack. Where did you get the black cutting board from and what did you use to cut it?

Thanks!

Scott,

I bought a white cutting board from Wal-mart. I made a template of the rack using some thin, stiff cardboard. It took a couple of re-sizings to get it right. I traced the template onto the board and cut it with a skill saw and a fine tooth blade and spray painted it black.

It was pretty easy to do, just took a little trial and error (ended up buying 2 cutting boards).

Scott

Here is the original thread with pic's. I would have posted it yesterday but I was running a little late. Thanks for the idea Taosports!
