Utah, some Colorado and Arizona

Post by frozennorth »

Hey all:

Just got back from our spring trip. We're up in Canada, so going south is the only way to get a nice ride in during April. We trailered the bikes, along with the father-in-law's vintage R600 and rode/vacationed for 7 days.

Probably not a lot of mileage for most of you guys, but we wanted to see some of the sites . . . only ever been in that area for a few days.

I've posted the pics to my website at:

http://www.idassociates.ab.ca/biketrip/index.html

Not a ton of bike shots but lot's of land shots . . . I'm thinking that a lot of you have done this area and have seen this, but it was new to us and spectacular. Geez, you guys in Utah are lucky, mountains and desert . . . too bad your beer is only 3.2%

Anyway, hope you enjoy the shots. I will post the pic of our fall trip (interior BC and Alaska) in the fall. Maybe I'll get a new camera and actually have good shots :)

Cheers

Thanks for the great pics of your trip. I'm here in Southeast Arizona and have been trying to get some time to head to some of the areas you toured.

Thanks again!

Great Ride!! really nice pictures, i did not know Utah was a 3.2 state, I could never understand the reasoning behind that. ( it is sold here in MN also). What type of temps did you encounter? The weather looked good. Thanks again, Den

I think the 3.2 is so they can sell more beer  Hard to get used to when you're used to 5+

Weather was nice, most days in the 70's, Durango was over 80. Much colder at elevation and in the mornings. Had frost on the seat in the morning at Bryce Canyon. Only had to run from rain once and didn't even get wet :)

Nothing that I could complain about. Didn't have to bring out the heated vest the entire trip.
