Locks. Opinions welcome.

Post by Jason »

hey everyone,

i live in nyc and i'm pulling my r out of the garage for the summer and i'm researching locks. now, i know the bottom line is if a theif wants my bike, it's long gone but of course some locks are better than others so i'm hoping to purchase a good one. i'm also thinking about getting two different style locks.

so i'm looking for opinions. to start things off. i've read good things about Abus Locks and wondered if anyone has had experience with them. also, i'm interested in this lock as well, the XMART Lock but it doesn't appear they make an adapter for the r1150r although they have them for the 1150rt and 1150gs. i'm wondering if one of these would work but i don't know.

thanks in advance! jason

Jason, I have been thinking of a lock for some time, it is something I keep putting off and do not think about until a post such as yours comes along, I read your selections and I think I am going to take a closer look at the Abus locks, I know in the past this topic has been discussed here, maybe a search would be a good idea. Good Luck Den
