I have a Bogan Magic Articulating arm with a Super clamp on each end. Is that what we're talking about here? It's not 60" long though. How about a picture of the thing ? A CCD camera on a stick ?
Maybe it is magic.

Hey...did you notice the 'doughboy's' protective riding gear?
NOT
I had major thread going on here once by suggesting that not wearing a helmet was stupid. I had just returned from a trip to Wichita and not a man or woman jack wore a helmet or protective gear down there. My favorite was a guy in flip-flops and shorts. No shirt.
As far as this video arm is concerned, I don't see any great hardware difficulty. Like I said, you put one of those helmet cams on a stick. Clamp it to the bike. Dv in the tank bag.
Lets see....
One, this has been around for a while now. Ask ANY director of photography that has done any work with motorcycles. It is at least 10 years old.
Two, If I see one more fat old guy on a Beemer I am going to get rid of mine.
1) Well since its been around 10 years then you probably don't need a picture of it.
2) You take your magic broomstick and lets see how good it looks (ie: look at my experimental footage and you will see the problems)
3) yes a Bogen magic arm will get you 22" off the bike. But try and get 60". I once got 80".
4) Video was was shot in on a three block distance in 90 degrees S Florida, so no I didn't wear protective leathers. But you go ahead
5) Re: fat guys. Read my post on the thread about extra suspension for real men. I was talking to you, tofu eating girly man. When the world burns in ruin, me and my fat buddies will have all your women and your bikes. You can keep your boyfriend howver
Magic Broomstick was originally done as a post for a moto video website where young lads show hours of mindless video out the front of their bikes while playing top forty metal.
Please don't take it too seriously---hence the words "silly" and "experiment" in my original message.
Don't get me wrong Charlie, I liked the effect.
I am aware the Magic Arm is not completely solid, but I only use it as a clamp in places where a tripod is not possible. I've never tried it on the bike. I'm like all those other guys and shoot through the windshield off the RAM mount.

(1) Not my quote. I've never seen it. I'd like to see the device.
(2) Might have to try it.
(3) Yeah, 22" is about right. Assuming the rig is solid, I see no reason you couldn't put longer tubes in the arm. May have a weird Italian metric thread though.
(4) Well, I wouldn't wear leathers either, but a light armored jacket and Draggin jeans would work even in that heat. Your skin though.
(5) Can't go there. Doug makes us talk about Tofu and boyfriends in another forum.
