I just received a Competition Accessories catalog in the mail and it has several outstanding sales on Tourmaster apparel. In particular, those of you who may be looking for riding coats for the upcoming season should take a look.
They're offering Tourmaster's excellent Cortech GX Air mesh jacket for only $99.99. I have an older Joe Rocket Phoenix; my wife has the GX Air, and there's no comparison. The GX is solidly built with 1680 denier Cordura patches over the shoulders, elbows, and forearms; armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back, plus additional protection over the collarbones. Well worth the $170 we paid last summer for my wife, and a steal at this price. Their women's line, btw, is well designed and functionally adapted for feminine shapes.
They also have both the Sport and 3/4-length version of their excellent all-weather Advanced jacket. This is the updated version of the old Cortech Sport II, a jacket I've worn for three seasons through every kind of weather. It's comfortable, completely wind-and waterproof, and with the zipout insulated liner removed and the vents opened, good up to 85 degrees (for me). With an electric vest, I'm comfortable for several hours at 40 degrees at the other extreme. At the end of the season, I just toss it in the washing machine with some water repellant, and it cleans up good as new. Easily the best all-around riding coat I've ever worn, and I've tried everything. These coats usually cost $250, but CA has them on sale for $135 (Sport) and $140 (3/4). I don't need another all-purpose coat, but at this price I'm going to buy a 3/4 version to supplement my existing waistcoat (you can never have too many riding jackets, eh?).
If you can do without the permeable membrane waterproof feature, there's an even better deal on the Tourmaster Fusion coat, which is available with insulated liner for $100 (usually $180).
No connection here with either Competition Accessories or Tourmaster, just a satisfied customer of both, and thought I'd pass a good deal along to the membership.

OK, I dunno nothing 'bout these jackets 'cept the reviews above. I do know that I ordered 3 of them, two for me & one for my wife. Low and behold, as the confirmation email was dropping off my printer a customer service rep called to ensure that my shipping address was a-ok and that I REALLY did order the right size for my wife. Turns out that I didn't and the rep sorted that out too.
