It's Australia Day today. Have a good one, and good on you for this type of protest! I love it.

Thanks Photo...yes it's a national holiday today for 'Australia Day'

Unfortunately it's been a very sad day for many that have lost their homes in the huge bushfires that are raging across Victoria right now.

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common ... 62,00.html

I can smell the smoke in the air outside right now..it's 11.30 pm...it's still over 30 Deg C (that's stinking hot)..

The good news is (and those watching the Tennis live will know) that it's starting to rain...but not in the north were it's needed the most.

It's hard to believe that only about 200 yrs ago there was no white man living down under...we've come a long way in only a few generations.

Thanks for the post...I was going to ride in that protest but slept in... :D

Australia Day

Post by wncbmw »

Happy Australia Day DJ and all our other downunder board members!

The Aussies and Brits have a special bond with Americans and I, for one appreciate them!

I remember during the Tsumani in December '04 reading about the Australian military and US military working closely and well together, doing the serious work needed, while the UN was waiting for their 5-star hotel reservations to be confirmed! I was so proud of both of them.

Thanks and I hope our relationship continues for a long, long time!

Aussies also lent a hand to South Korea during the Korean War. As an American who was born in Seoul, my hat's off to you DJ and your countrymen! :D

Being raised in a multicultural background I came to know about Australia sinca I was just a lad. One of my best friends from school is Australian and in one of the most memorable visits to Germany my two roomates were Australian.
As a great admirer of the English speaking world I would like to send my best wishes to that "Great Southern Land" (80`s rock fanatics will know what I´m talking about).

Cheers mates!!!!!

G`day you`ll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DJ - does your continent even have any unattractive women? I'm in a committed relationship, but if that ever ends, I'm joining fnfalman and buying a one-way ticket to the land down under!
