Another collector question

Post by KaneToad »

I was looking at the staintune collecter, queried local distributor and staintune themselves where they stated that the collector was for bikes up to 2003 model, but none listed for 04-05's.

Were there any modification to the bikes for 04-05 that would affect the installation of the collector?

Maybe they're thinking GS...they changed from 04-05 with the new hex head 1200... #-o

I'm sure the RR is the same.

Ahh, that would make more sense. I hadn't thought there were any changes to the exhaust, but just wanted to make sure.

You want StainTune model 126-B5 collector, available lots of places.
Works great on the 04R.....

mr toad,
I recently added the staintune collector and pipe to my 04. The same collector is used for the GS and RR. It has proved to be a great mod and I would definitly do it again! Great throttle response and nice little growl now, no more sewing machine.
