A few months ago I posted a message about the delay in triggering the turn signalsthat I'm experiencing since I installed a SignalMinder from KisanTech. I have to very deliberately press and momentarily hold the turn signal button for the turn signal to come on. When I've needed to maneuver quickly I've found that the turn signals have not 'engaged' even though the button was pressed. The response I got here from several folks was that 'it's normal for the SignalMinder' and 'you'll get used to it'.

Well, I haven't gotten used to it, and had just about decided to remove the SignalMinder (which I really like a lot - other than this problem) before it gets me killed. I sent an email to Kisan to let them know about the problem and I got an interesting querey back: "Is the SignalMinder in an aluminum case or a black plastic case?". When I told them it was the black plastic case, they informed me that this was an older model and the new model would solve the problem.
Based on the response to my original message some months ago, it seems that there are others out there that have the same problem so I thought I'd post this. I've ordered the replacement which should arrive by weeks end, and I'll post the results of the upgrade.
BTW, I had saved about 25% by purchasing the SignalMinder on eBay earlier this year and it even came in the factory packaging! Ah, well, another lesson learned - don't scrimp on safety related items!!!
