What if???!!!!!

Post by guest12 »

Ok, what if you could spent up to 500.00 (plus tax) but not a cent more. What ONE single mod would you get for an otherwise stock bike. The idea is not to necessarily spend all 500.00 but specify what your one mod of choice would be assuming you had to leave the rest of the bike stock forever!!!!

For an R-1150-R...

Well, if I had a $500 limit it wouldn't be one thing...

But if it could be only one thing - a Sargent riders saddle - List Price: $299.

If I had 5 Ben Franklins, I would get the Sargent Saddle ($299), a Wunderlich Tail/Seat bag ($189), and try to save a bit more for a Kisan Signalminder.

I could be happy with the Sargent and Wunderlich, though.

Cheers!

Signal Minder (~$100) and BMW LED tail/brake light license plate frame (~$150). The clear turn signal lenses look nice, but the yellow bulb/clear lens combo is not as bright as yellow lens/clear bulb setup.

Lottery tickets?

OK, really the Pirate's Lair backrest. List over $300, I got one (from this board) for $150. My wife didn't like riding w/o it. Now, wife is happy = life is good.

I am a big fan of a headlight modulator. Really! SignalMinder and a Pirate's Lair Stealth Backrest. Um, um, good.

I just ordered my Kisan Signalminder. I'll spend the other $400 on gas and ride. Wait, I need some insulated socks first.

Sargent's seat. But since I may get that for Christmas, I would say the complete lowering kit for the exhaust and a full size bag.

For an R1150r, the most important thing for me would be a set of Gen-Mar X102 bar risers. I would have about 350 left over for a nice seat!

1) Replace the stock cat with a y-pipe(about $350), OMG does it change the bike!

2) Throttlemeister bar ends($100)

3) The last $50 i'd stick in my pocket and use to refuel about five times(figuring $2.50 gal) Then i'd enjoy my new free reving bike on some long fall trips thanks to the the locking bar end......which by the end of i'll will have wished i'd spent it all on a new seat!
