At 6'0", the touring windscreen (largest BMW windscreen) caused a lot of bad air around my helmet. Consequently, the noise and buffeting was too much to handle. When I switched to the sport screen (mid-sized BMW windscreen), my neck and helmet were in clean air which made a world of difference.

Fly screen versus Sport screen: I've had both and I prefer the Sport Screen for its wind protection at high speeds but there was one other interesting difference between the two.
The bike is wonderfully responsive without a windscreen, primarily because there is little downward pressure on the front wheel. Adding the fly screen didn't seem to reduce the "flickability" of the R. But I noticed that for longer cruising times and higher speeds, the bike tended to fatigue me because it was less likely to be as settled on the road particularly in cross winds. This increased demanded attention got a little old.
Putting the Sport screen on adds more downward pressure yielding a more stable ride in cross winds and of course reduces the bike's responsiveness. The comparative diminished response is a plus for cruising long periods on the bike, not to mention reduced stress on my neck and shoulders.

Logical. I will physically compare the fly & sport to my profile on the bike and make the decision between those two and leave it there.
Remus it is then. I have searched, and searched, and searched the internet for a Remus Y pipe and the only one I found was at San Jose BMW coupled to a new muffler. I want to keep the stock can. Maybe my dealer can get me a Remus Y-pipe and if so I will ask if it can be used with the stock muffler. If not, well...I don't know where else to look. I will have no choice but to go with the Neptune.

I have the short (14") screen from CEE Bailey, and it works well for my 5'9", short-torsoed frame. My screen is the darker of two grays and it also comes in clear. The screen is about an inch and a half higher than the bars. It is about the same height as the BMW sport screen, but is squared off at the top rather than coming to a point, which I think provides a bit more torso protection. I've been very happy with this screen during the summer - just enough wind protection and no buffeting - but I may re-install my touring screen for a trip to Canada in mid-September. The pictures are in the test gallery under "Windscreen":

The CEE Bailey screen uses the BMW sport and touring mounts, which I don't believe are available from BMW without purchasing a screen as well.
Just out of curiosity, why are you installing a Y pipe?

I'm 6'1" too. I have the Parabellum 23 inch Super Tour shield. Works very well for me. I originally bought the clear and it developed a crack around the left upper mount. They replaced it free under warranty and this time, I requested the tinted version. It looks much nicer on my red r1150r. some folks think the parabellum looks like a barn door, but I can tell you from experience, it works very well. I believe parabellum recommends the 23" if you are over 5'10". Congrats on the new bike, I'm sure you'll love it.

I'm confused, I thought that there are only two BMW windshields available: the higher one (part #71607686761) and the Speedster (part #46637661283)...
