I got 3 1/2 years from my PC680. I've generally gotten longer life from my BMW batteries.

Great thread to resurrect as the 2002 had a "used" Exide sealed battery installed a few years ago by a Dealer.

I have not tried it, but the specifications indicate that it will fit into the battery box on R1150R nicely, but may require some adapting for terminals to fit properly. Seems to have greater ah and cca too.

I installed a Mobat in my Sertao. A awesome feature is they have 4 terminals, one on each corner. You just flip it around to the correct polarity and use the spare terminals for other connections.

Has anyone heard anything good or bad about the Battery Tender lithium ion battery? It's about the same price as the Odyssey.

I have no first-hand experience, but I have heard that the Li Ion batteries need to be "warmed up" by turning on the ignition with headlight for a minute or so before starting in order to get some ions flowing. Supposed to be much smaller and lighter, though.

Odyssey PC680. 6 years and counting. I leave mine permanently connected to an Optimate4 monitor/charger/conditioner/ tester thingy. Battery works fine away from home and cranks over a cold engine full of 20W/50 just fine.
