I'm an idiot - over oiled a K&N air filter
Like the topic states, I accidentally over oiled a K&N air filter. I replaced it with a Mahle paper air filter, but the bike is still hesitating to start. At above half throttle, it will try to catch, but it dies shortly after. Normally, this is just remedied by spraying some MAF cleaner on the MAF, but since the R1150R doesn't have a MAF, I'm at a loss for how to proceed. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does it start fine with no air filter in? If so, I'd immediately Check the throttle cables going into throttle bodies aren't popped out of their stops. Over oiled wouldn't stop it from starting I bet.
Happens every time I take the tank off. Which was 5 times last week.

Take the air filter off and stuff it with dry paper towels, and wrap it as well - rubber band them on (not too tight) and let it sit. It will pull the oil from the filter. Repeat if necessary.

JasonStern,
Unlike carburetted engines, fuel injected engines are practically immune to mixture changes from dirty or very oily air filters, because a drastic negative change in manifold vacuum does NOT totally disrupt the fuel injected. With EFI, fuel flow is precisely regulated electro-mechanically by computer controlled fuel injectors.
About the cause of the engine running on one cylinder and being hard to start, our buddy peels is correct in saying you should check the throttle cables, specifically, the right side throttle cable . . which is popped UP out of position, as shown in the borrowed pic below. Since the TPS is mounted on the left cylinder TB, the popped up right throttle cable reels on more throttle air while still using the idle stop injected tiny fuel amount. The overly lean mixture does not ignite and gets pumped into the catalyst which glows red with joy by it. The right throttle cable pops up out of the adjuster ferrule because the cable is short, has no available slack and it is easily dislodged when you are struggling with the fuel line QD's and the fuel tank.

Haven't had a chance yet to work on the R1150R due to work/life/etc., but thank you to CycleRob, Doug, and Peels. will try what was suggested and follow up when time permits.
