Rotors

Post by jahluv »

Rotors... I removed the rotor from front and rear wheels to have them powder coated, in my non infinite wisdom didn't note the washer sequence. I have ten flat stainless washers I believe go on rear wheel. Parts fiche only shows ABS diagram. Mine is non ABS.Anyone?

Thanks!

jahluv,

I hope the powder coat people had the wisdom to mask off the threaded holes, wheel bearing OD mating surfaces and rotor hub mount mating surfaces -otherwise- you are going to be very busy re-tapping the threads and scraping off the very hard epoxy-like coating !!

Thanks Rob,
There was a little residue, not bad. But yeah, the thought crossed my mind when first started reassembling. Def going to be on them for the forks. These guys are good at their craft.Marinos Spfld MA.
What would you suggest for shocks Wilbers/Ohlins? And where would be the best place to purchase?

IMO
for all things "shocks," Ted Porter's Beemershop.
Had both Wilbers and Ohlins, I think I rpefer the Ohlins, though could be my imagination or real--but the Wilbers were on my 1150, and the Ohlins are on my 12
