Dog ate my r1150r

Post by matthaskell »

My girlfriend's dumb dog did a serious number on my '04 r1150r, and now I need a number of new/used parts. I need:

1. Both front and rear seat panels,
2. Left rear turn signal,
3. Rear brake line, and
4. The top piece (gray/silver) of my luggage rack.

Fortunately, that's all I need, if anyone can sell me these. And yes, the girlfriend is worth this pain in the butt. Thanks to anyone who can help, and maybe the positive is that I found/joined this group.

He lost his mind. Chewed apart a full sized grill too, and tried to eat his way into a storage shed. Little turd has lived with me for four years without doing anything like this. Unbelievable.

That's a combination of separation anxiety, boredom and pent up energy. How big a dog and what breed is it?

The best dog trainer there is, is Cesar Millan, the TV "Dog Whisperer". I watched in amazement several of his past TV shows on National Geographic Channel where he tamed the Un-tameable and corrected numerous other "bad dog" behaviors in just a few minutes. The really messed up ones he took back to his open kennel so the resident pack of trained dogs can correct the newcomer. He actually knows how to passively communicate with dogs that HE is the Pack Leader, using noises and quick actions a mother dog would use toward her puppies. My wife and I, lifetime dog lovers, used those simple techniques to cure our Boston Terrier of pulling while on the leash and worst of all, stopping her from going red-zone-kill-crazy against ANY other nearby dog.

The home page is here: http://www.cesarsway.com

Everyone reading this, the best seeing-is-believing videos are his past shows on HULU:

Time very well spent. I guarantee you will learn very valuable lessons, so your dog does not control you or misbehave. His motto is "I rehabilitate dogs, and I train people".

BTW, FYI, On Hulu I got a "Sorry, we're unable to load a message from our sponsors" that seems like the end of your access, but it goes away in less than 2 minutes and the video you chose loads. This happens a few times in each of the 46 minute shows. I had no blocker engaged, NoScript and Kaspersky AV allowed it too, so I'm not sure why it was pausing.

He's a terrier mix, about 4 years old and 45 pounds, and otherwise fairly well adjusted. Certainly not the norm for him. Lots of activity with people and lives with another dog. He ranks a firm fourth in the household pecking order. I agree with your diagnosis, and thanks for the thoughts on the dog; but now I'm interested in fixing the R.

I suggest you leave it the way it is because no one will believe the story once fixed.
All kidding aside, I wish I could help, but all my R parts are on my R. I suggest beamerboneyard.com. You may just get lucky.

It could have been worse.
You could be looking for bone & soft tissue!

You could try Motorworks in UK http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Home/index.php
They do new and used parts.
