Here it is!

Post by JohanOtten »

Finally here is my R850R it already has 103000km but still going strong for another 100k! Before I bought a bike people here advised me to get a GS because of my 6'8" (2.03) stature, which wasnt a bad a idea, I just dont like the bike. So I found a guide to switch to GS suspension and pegs, did that and now I have a bike I totally love in looks and in egronomics, something I can advise for every tall rider! Thanks everyone here for the help and advise that really helped a lot!

Things I did:

GS suspension and pegs (awesomely easy and nice for tall riders)
GS side and middle stand
paint it black
1150 windscreen
acebris handguards
Bagster Tank Cover
Pyramid Fender (wheelhugger kind)
Front fender extender
Lots of small stuff

And a Kahedo seat is on its way!

How is the sport screen working for you? I have a parabellum mid size screen and the wind noise is fearsome. I am considering a short screen. How did you mount the 1150 screen?

Thanks!

Joelh, this screenmounting has 3 'arms'. With a little bending you can use the long bolts going through the handlebars to mount those two. The middle mount has a tube on it which exactly touches the keylock cylinder I put a large hose clamp around both and it is secured really tight. So it's easy to do for everyone.

I cut down the screen a little (about 4cm) and tried to bend it down as much as possible, now the wind is on the top of the chest/collarbone. That gives me no turbulence on the helmet, but quite some noise at 120kmh because that is where your helmet makes the most noise anyway, with my Kahedo seat I will be up another inch so then i'll be good.

Mind you that I'm 6'7" or 2.03m. I'm thinking that if your 6" and the seat in a lower stance that you'll probably by nicely behind the screen.
