Bob... the shifter is made by Pingel. Pingel makes a kit for all Harley Models, the VTX Hondas, and a few others. The Pingle Shifter is a universal kit on my bike. It's electric and come with a shift module. Also a kill module designed to kill the motor through the coil then shifting. The kill module was not wired in on installation. I use the clutch to shift. And I have a up and down switch or button on the handlebars between the grip and the dim / bright switch. All the electronics are under the seat and use little space. The shifter is rock solid after 18k...if I let the motor idle down at a stop light and shift from 2nd to 1st the trans goes into neutral. A few revs and the trans pops into 1st when the switch is activated. Pingel is easy to do business with.
It works good.

Thanks for the info. It's interesting to see that a good shifter is readily available.
