Have you had a test ride? I doubt you are shorter than than me  and I have standard suspension with the low seat and find it OK. It would be nice to be able to have both feet flat, but its never going to happen

I had the standard suspension on my first '10 Beautiful Blue R1200 R. It was a little bit of a reach with my 29" inseam. I have the factory lowered suspension on my new '10 Classic Black Roadster. The added convenience is very nice but absolutely not worth the compromise in ride. Both bikes had the low seat. On the first bike I mistakenly thought I had the comfort saddle. On this bike I now understand what all the saddle complaints are about.

First time I have to replace a shock, I'm moving back to standard height.
