Anything is possible, but the short answer is no. Third-party devices, such as Throttlemeister, Cramp buster, etc., are alternatives.

I put a Koako throttle lock on mine. I only use it on long straight stretches but it is really nice when you need it. I know there is an aftermarket electronic cruise control out there but it is around 1K.

I use a Throttlemeister http://throttlemeister.com/ and it works VERY well.

I recommend the NEP Throttle Lock, under $20.00 works perfectly and is easy to override should the need arise. Here's the link to my "how to do it"

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19671&p=173564&hil ... ck#p173564 ...

It took less than 1/2 hour to modify and install.

Happy motoring,

Thank you All for your replies, I was kind of hoping BMW did a cruise control similar to the RT,will probably go with one of the throttle locks.

I have one of those NEPs. It was on a GS I bought and it didn't work so I took it off and threw it in a drawer. Now I know what to do with it! Thanks for the instructions...

This actually looks like a nice and simple product
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects handlebars to the saddle.

It comes for 1 or 7/8 inch bars ... I couldn't really tell by looking and I don't have a good way to measure it.

Which one is right for the r1200r?

Me too. At that price, if I don't like it I won't feel terrible about just throwing it aside.

The "Go Cruise" arrived yesterday. It seems to be working as advertised, don't think I will use it too often but on long trips with stretches of highway it will come in handy. It only takes 5 seconds to clip on and is so small it will fit in the tool bag.

Got the "Go Cruise" and rode 50 miles to and then 50 miles back. Makes the ride much more hospitable when on the slab (interstate.)
Has anyone used it in the rain?
