Installing Heated Hand Grip - Right Throttle Side
Hello, new poster here. Just had my first spill in 20 years of riding. Only real damage to my Edition 80 Rockster is a cracked throttle which needs to be replaced. Has anyone installed a new right-side heated hand grip? Just wondering if this is tricky or pretty straightforward. $130 bucks for a new one, so not bad. Thanks.

Throttle grip/tube replacement requires:
gas tank removal
partial disassembly of RHS switchgear module to access throttle cable ferrule
removal of RHS bar-end
threading heater element wire through handlebar (from handlebar end)
adjusting wire slack to allow throttle grip rotation without binding
reassembly of grip wire connector
plug in grip
check grip operation
reattachment of throttle cable (with check for cable slack)
reassembly of RHS switchgear
reattach RHS bar-end
reinstall tank
I might be missing a step....
