Re: ecu
dont really know what chip it is got it from ebay check it out - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Eprom-Tuning-chip ... 255b590844. ive also put a k&n air filter Y pipe and remus exaust its popping quite a bit now though when i throttle down hoping chip might sort this out a bit
Re: ecu
I don't think changing the chip will stop the popping on deceleration.
I have a rhinewest performance chip installed.... and when I did have a y-piece installed, it popped on decel.
put the cat back on, and the popping is gone. as a few others on this board have noted, the popping is always there, no matter what you do to the exhaust system or ECU chip... you just dont hear the popping with the cat installed because it muffles it.

Don't wrestle with a pig. Win or lose, you still get dirty.

Re: ecu
Suggest you forget about the chip for now and make sure of the following:
1) The exhaust pipe to Y pipe joints are sealed well
2) The TB's are in sync
That should minimize the poping
Historically, aftermarket chips don't do much for the R259 engines, unless they are part of the exhaust package.
Good luck

you can also check to see if there are any experienced posters close to you that can lend a handneed. No, at this stage you don't need a PC.
Good luck
