+1 on the Schuberth C3. Rolled the dice on a large from http://www.designerhelmets.com — you can't buy them in the USA — and it fits like a glove. I love the integrated sun visor.

Thanks for the link - I want to replace my BMW System 5 with System 6 (aka Schuberth C3???) - but BMW won't be bring them to Australia. The landed price from this site is very competitive - cheaper than my Systems 5 was!

BTW, my Systems 5 is quite loud compared to my old Systems 4 - the Systems 4 is a bigger helmet and has smoother lines, so probably cleaner airflow. Sadly, all helmets get old and the foam in my Systems 4 has out-gassed to the point where I don't ragard it as safe. (Yes, I've owned a Systems 1, 2 and 3 before the 4 .. and the 4 Evo as well ... )

A C3-large helmet and a System 6-large helmet do not fit the same, according to a webbikeworld commenter who has worn both:

I went from a XXL Schuberth C2 to a XXXL System 6 (64/65), this spring.

I like the System 6 but it seems to be a little shorter in the forehead to chin area that was the C2. Noise levels seem to be comparable.

I've been using the Nolan 103 for my daily on-the-job use, since I'm on and off the bike lots of times and wear glasses. But it IS loud and it IS heavy.

So, I just got an Arai RX-Q which is astoundingly quiet and light by comparison. Arai has reportedly taken the knowledge gained from developing their Corsair track model and adapted it for a purpose-designed helmet for the street. Dunno about all that hype, but I really like it after the first week. Strange to use D-rings again, though.

None of my local dealers had my size (large) until next month, but I found it for sale on eBay and at a substantial discount. Of course, I'll voluntarily send Arnold my California sales tax!

I grew used to my Nolan's latching system as well and use this helmet buckle on my helmets that have D-rings. I find it very easy to use with gloved hands.
