Centre Stand wanted UK buyer

Post by Andrew s »

Any of you guys got a centre stand lurking and unwanted in your garage.

Tried Motorworks but they don't have a used one in stock.

Thanks,
Andrew

They haven't got one, looking in the UK first, before going further afield, thanks anyway.

Cheers Ricey, I also tried Sherlocks, would be nice to get one before putting the bike away for winter.

Just bought an Anniversary one, an 04 plate with 3000 miles on the clock.

Posted a while back, think it was beginning of the year about getting one and just got it on Sunday.

Called Motobins, no joy.

Will give this a week and will have to buy a new one.

Right I am getting desperate for a used centre stand, so if anybody knows of one I would really appreciate it.

New ones cost a fortune, so not going down that route.

Contact motorworks & bins and ask them if they have a list of people wanting stuff they could put you on.

Another option - contact the company that makes trikes out of the R1150R - can't remember the name offhand - but I bought an 1150R shock from them, brand new, for £not a lot last year. Hang on - I'll dig out the name....

Here we go - martinconquest.com

Here's their ebay shop - http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/rseriespa ... QQ_armrsZ1

but if you contact them direct they're very, very helpful

The center stands are inexpensive via Beemer Boneyard in the US. I read that you prefer a local source, but you'll likely save money even after US>UK shipping, as the center stand is nither a large nor heavy item (including supporting hardware).

Just discovered today that Martin Conquest trikes only work with R1200s now. :(

Andrew - in case it hasn't been mentioned, you have the option of using center/centre stands from other R1150** bikes as (nearly) universal fit.

When I spoke with my local dealer they told me that the only stand that would fit was from the R1150R.

I asked about the RT,GS and RS and was told, no.

Got a wanted list with Motorworks so here hopes they contact me soon.

Fitted the hand guards and they look good.

Andrew

As riceburner and I mentioned....beemerboneyard......assume the cost would have been $100 US shipped, that's 62 pounds sterling at current rates and you would have it already in your hands and installed.

Have you tried Germany?

Good luck?

Boxermania,

I am on the wanted list for beemerboneyard and Motorworks. I have looked on most European and USA Ebay sites but with no luck.

Hoping I get something over the winter.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks for the link, I have contacted the seller to see if the stand comes with all the fittings as these are expensive.
