Battery Tender thru fuse box

Hello all, I have the EasternBeaver PC-8 fuse box but this question should also apply to the Centech (or other variations). I will be using the Battery Tender Plus this winter and I was wondering if I can hook up the pigtail to the unswitched port of the fuse box instead of directly to the battery. I'm thinking it should work fine but I'm deferring to the knowledge of this group. My thought is that hooking it up this way is the same as hooking directly to the battery terminals but without adding more wiring in the battery area (one of my main reasons for getting a fuse box). Any thoughts, opinions are more than welcome. Thanks...

In a word, yes.

I've disconnected the bike's wiring from the Powerlet connector and connected that to an unswitched circuit in my fuse box, which is powered from the battery. Then I made an adapter cable from my Optimate charger to a male Powerlet connector. When I need to use the charger, I plug it into the Powerlet connector. Works fine. No reason it won't work with the Battery Tender (but probably won't work with a BMW charger).

That's pretty much what I did also. I just took the OEM can'tbus electric portal loose from the mounting bracket and tucked it under the seat. I ran a regular one from the Centech fuse box and mounted it where the OEM had been. No problem . Has been working great for almost three years now.
