Picture of Biarritz Blue Metallic anyone?

Post by matty26 »

Howdy all!

I've been a lurker for about a month now and I have to compliment everyone on what a great community you have created here. This is a very informative website, and I've enjoyed reading the posts.

Anyway, I've been thinking about replacing my 2006 F650GS for a while now and about three weeks ago I took the R1200R for a test drive. Well everyone knows how that goes, so I sold the F last week and am about to order my new baby.

Life is good when color choice is the only thing holding you up, but alas, here I am stuck between blue and gray. My dealer (Alamo Powersports here in SATX) had everything but blue in stock. The grey looked great on the internet, but I guess I didn't realize that it was a flat finish until I saw it up close. I suppose I'm more of a shiny thing guy, or I'd have jumped at the grey.

I've searched but haven't seen any pictures of a blue R1200R in the wild. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

If you like shiny things, there's nothing prettier and classier than a black w stripes.

The choice is sooo obvious. I sometimes wonder if owners of the "other" colours have some sort of unresolved issue from their youth, like they got smoked by a spray bomb black Yammie Twinjet 100 in front of the highschool crowd. I'm just sayin!

Hey Snag,

Is that the "sport" windscreen or the "tall" windscreen?

Thanks,
